Adult Sunday School, Winter 2012


This course focuses on Israel's literary Prophets (Isaiah - Malachi), and wrestles with how God's plan to redeem the world from sin continued through Israel's Exile & Restoration. The Prophets' message blended calls to repentance and judgment for idolatry and injustice with renewal and restoration beyond their Exile in a promised final Exodus. Emerging from the Prophets' message is a portrait of Israel's true Messiah, who would return as its ultimate King, and subsequently redeem Israel, humanity and the world. Thus, we will see how the Prophets finally set the stage for the arrival of Jesus Christ in the New Testament and our place in God's Kingdom today.
