Community

The Church is not focused on the people who happen to attend it, but rather on its Maker. This removes the burden to “have it all together.” As we first look to God and His love for us in Christ, we may then face our faults, admit our latent hypocrisies, and confront our selfishness. This liberates us to love one another with joy and sacrifice, as we have been so loved by God.

Society is wracked with isolation and alienation, even as people long for meaningful relationships and a sense of belonging. Knowing our deep needs, Christ prays that His followers would be united as “members of one body” despite our differences, and instructs us to look to others' interests ahead of our own. Hence, we are a church of Community Groups, to foster friendships and to provide a setting for personal growth, discussion of ideas, study of the Bible, and support of each other in hard times.
