Ministry Teams: Hospitality

& Special events

The Hospitality Ministry Team's goal is to help make all who visit Trinity feel welcome and served. There are several ways you can be a part of facilitating this:

Opportunites to Serve on the Hospitality Team:

Volunteers on the Hospitality Team are scheduled on a weekly rotation, three team members serve each week. Each team member will serve approximately twice per quarter. Team members responsibilities include the following for each Sunday morning:

-Arrive at the kitchen at 8:30 a.m.
-Set up the coffee table and prepare communion trays.
-Greet/hand out bulletins.
-Collect the offering.
-Clean up after communion and pick up trash in the sanctuary.
-Collect welcome pads and provide top sheets to the church office.
-During fellowship time in the Welcome Center, look for and greet visitors or new faces.
-Clean up the coffee table and bagel trays and put away supplies after fellowship time.

If you enjoy meeting and talking to people, please consider being a part of this Ministry Team. For more information, please contact Cam & Sally Ingram at camingram@cox.net.

The Special Events Team plans and organizes Trinity's social functions. This is a great, fun way to serve the church!

Opportunites to Serve on the Special Events Team:

- Buyers
The buyers are responsible for purchasing supplies and food during the week before an event. The list of supplies is provided by the team leader, but the shopping, dropping off the load at the church and submitting receipts for reimbursement would be the responsibility of the Buyer. The time commitment would be about 2-3 hours per event.

-Chefs
The Chefs are responsible for contributing something homemade for the events. The goal is to provide a little comfort of home to our church guests, but it can be as simple as contributing brownies or a salad. The Chef is responsible for making the dish and bringing it to the church.

-Set-Up/Clean-Up
The Set-Up/Clean-Up Crew requires some muscle as there are times when tables and chairs will need to be rearranged in the welcome center, but there is also a need for people who like to mingle and extend hospitality to church guests.

If you enjoy event planning, administration, hospitality, party throwing and food, these are great qualities for our volunteers. Anyone interested please contact Melinda Kummer at melindakummer@yahoo.com.
