Ministry Teams: Men

Men’s Ministry at Trinity Presbyterian Church currently has three primary functions:
1. Provide regular teaching and training for men specifically aimed at growing in grace, cultivating accountability and integrity, and pursuing leadership development.
To that end, a monthly men’s forum is scheduled to kick-off on January 15, 2011. The forum will meet on the third Saturday of each month Jan. through May, 2011. Cron Gibson, of Hopewell Ministries, will be teaching. Childcare will be provided, along with bagels and coffee. Please contact Jay Livingood if you’d like to learn more, or if you’re interested in helping out in any way.

2.
Encourage deliberate and meaningful relationships among men throughout the broader church body and specifically within the setting of community groups. Our Men’s Ministry team wants to see men move from passive and casual acquaintances towards relationships that are purposely built on the Gospel of Christ and the pursuit of the sanctifying work of the Spirit.
Community groups are the primary setting for deepening relationships among men of Trinity, as fellow community group members already enjoy established relationships and meet regularly. To help strengthen these relationships, the Men’s Ministry team supplies devotional content, prayer guides and other materials for community groups, typically in conjunction with any teaching/training events sponsored by men’s ministry.
3.
Invite those outside of Trinity’s church community to connect with those within.
Church wide events (such as Tides baseball outings or cornhole tournaments) are held on a semi-regular basis to provide a comfortable, non-threatening environment for growing or establishing relationships.
If you have any interest in serving on the men's ministry team or would like more information about any men's ministry events, please contact Jay Livingood at jlivingood@cox.net.
