Trinity is approaching the missions conference this year from a whole new angle. We are asking the congregation to participate in two of the four tracks available. The missions conference will be broadly focusing on Romans 10:14-15. Each track will be led by a leader from within our community and offer a great opportunity to listen, learn, ask questions, and  better understand God’s work in missions. A kids track will also be available for children to understand their role in missions along with nursery and child care. The tracks being offered this year are:

Campus Ministries
The Campus Ministries Track will focus on the various missionaries Trinity supports through the Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) and Intervarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF). What goes into creating a chapter on a new campus, how does the organization work, are they specific to a denomination, what outreach programs are put in place to reach the students, why college campuses in the first place?

Church Planting
The Church Planting track will be looking at the need for planting churches in our community and across the seas. Answers to why are we planting a church just across city boundaries, what really goes into planting a church, why are we called to plant churches.

Mercy and Justice
The Mercy and Justice (M&J) track will explore how God both inspires and enables us toward the Micah 6 requirement to "Act justly and to love mercy".  We'll also discuss the practical implications of this vision - both how people can grow in love with this mission and begin to get involved with the opportunities already available.

Cross-Cultural Ministry
The Cross-Cultural Ministry track will focus on what to expect when entering another culture, whether it is within your country our outside of it. What ethnocentricity means to a developed nation entering a developing nation, how to adapt, appreciate, and learn from the different cultures. This track will explore the purposes of short term missions trips and why it is important to understand the various cultures God created.

Kids in Missions (Grades K-5)
The Kids track will focus on how kids are an integral part of missionaries work. What the life of a missionary kid consists of, how different their life is than one in suburban America. Story of missionary kids and how to get in contact with our missionary children to learn about where they live and serve with their family.
