Youth Group

Our vision is for Youth Ministry where young men & women are confronted by the Gospel, changed by their Lord and Savior, and equipped to live a life that causes the Father to say "well done, good and faithful servant."
NOT THE WHOLE, BUT A PART
The Youth Ministry is a small group within the family of faith at any church, a part of the community of believers. It makes no claim to be the whole nor to be self-sufficient, but desires to fulfill its portion of the church's opportunity and responsibility.
REAL PEOPLE WITH REAL RELATIONSHIPS
The life of a Christian does not end when one comes to faith. The road ahead is long and makes no promises of ease or prosperity. We are a chosen and called people, but not so we can go and hide away. We are called out to live with purpose – serving a triune God and reflecting Christ as best we can to all we meet.
As a ministry, we desire that young men and women actively live genuine lives in a world of pretense. We believe that while, God may accomplish his will by whatever means he deems appropriate, that discipleship is key to fostering a love for Christ, Scripture, and others. Real, accountable relationships are key. They must be grounded in the Scriptures, modeled by the staff, and instilled in the kids. These relationships serve both the believing community (in accountability and discipleship) and the world at large (in outreach and evangelism).

THE WORD IS LIFE
Apart from God's Word, the Youth Group has no function, standing, purpose, direction, or role (or substitute any other of hundreds of nouns). The Gospel – the Good News – is our message. It, and it alone, must be central to who we are and all we do.
LIFE-CHANGE: FROM THE INSIDE OUT
The Gospel is alive and active. It powerfully changes, not by outward correction but by inward change. That's where we want to be as a ministry – young men and women who have been changed by the Master.
SET FREE TO LIVE
The call of Christ is not to a life of outward performance, but to a life of faithfulness. As a ministry, we strive to point to our new-found freedom in Christ; freedom from the world's claims of success, freedom from the religious binds of works, freedom from the flesh trappings of sin. Freedom to live the life God intended for Man.
